Bloom where you are planted. I have a wall of encouragement with this statement in the middle of it all. I often have to look at this saying and remind myself to simply stay planted. Sometimes life can seem quite challenging to handle and the moment we feel any pain or discomfort, we want to pick up and run. Maybe you want to run from the school you are at. Maybe you want to run from the church you are called to serve with. It could be that you are at a new job or just got a new position and it seems like it’s to much for you to handle. I currently feel that right now as I type.
Your reality may be just that…real, but so is your capabilities. When I am faced with all the new responsibilities that have seemingly been dumped on my lap, God reminds me that the reason why I have these responsibilities is because He has given me the ability to respond to them. So I repeat the saying on my wall to myself often, “Brittany, bloom where you are planted”.
The only way you and I can see the fruit of our growth is if we stay planted. Yes, it may seem dark, as it is always dark where any seed is planted, but that’s the kind of environment that promotes growth. It’s not dark to hinder but to produce. The seed never stays a seed. It cracks open. It develops roots, and it begins to bud, blooming into a wonderful plant that will bring beauty to its surrounding environment.
As I take these next few months away from blogging and social media to learn and grow where God has planted me, I encourage you to do the same. The only way you will ever bloom into the queen God has created you to be is if you allow yourself to develop deep roots ( in character, perseverance, tenacity, faith and identity in Jesus etc.)
Bloom where you are planted.
We will talk again in January 2020. Stay Encouraged!
